How to cancel Audible

Last checked Oct 2026Source: the company's own help page (linked below)

Cancel on the Audible website under Membership details. Spend your credits first, because unused credits are lost.

Menu pathAudible.com > your name > Membership details > Cancel membership > Confirm cancellation

Steps

  1. Sign in to Audible.com on a computer. (On a phone browser, open the main menu first.)
  2. Select your name.
  3. Select Membership details.
  4. Select Cancel membership.
  5. Select Confirm cancellation and look for the confirmation email.

Refunds, timing and things to know

  • Deleting the Audible app does not cancel your membership.
  • Use your credits first. At the end of your final billing cycle, unused credits and member benefits are lost. Audible may let you pause instead if you want to keep credits.
  • Titles you bought with credits or a card are yours to keep after you cancel. Included-catalog titles become locked.
  • Don't see a cancel option? You may be signed in to a different Audible account.

If someone else bills you

  • If Apple (App Store) or Google Play bills you, you must cancel there, not on the Audible site.

Save proof. Take a screenshot of the confirmation screen and keep the confirmation email. If you are charged again after canceling, our billing error letter can help.
