How to cancel HBO Max

First check who bills you, then cancel at HBOMax.com/subscription. You can stream until the period ends.

Steps

1. Find who bills you: go to HBOMax.com/subscription and sign in. In the app, choose your profile and then Subscription. On a TV, choose Settings and then Subscription. The biller is shown at the top of the screen.
2. If you are billed by HBO Max, choose Cancel Your Subscription on HBOMax.com/subscription.
3. Confirm your cancellation and write down your expiration date.

Refunds, timing and things to know

• Your subscription renews automatically until you cancel. Deleting the app does not cancel it.
• Cancel before your next billing date to avoid the next charge. You can keep streaming until the end of your billing period.
• If you have the Extra Member Add-On, it ends with your base plan and HBO Max gives a prorated refund for the remaining days on the add-on.

If someone else bills you

• No cancel option? Note the biller shown at the top of the screen (for example Apple, Google Play, Amazon, or your internet or TV provider) and cancel with them.
